Hmm! Well, thereās know way of knowing if Homura really will show up in S2ā¦ I remember the producer guy at AX said that she has a high chance of coming back, if enough people want her back. But thatās only a chance; thereās no actual guarantee that sheāll show up at all.
That being said, if they are bringing her back, Iām not exactly sure if theyāll bring her back in S2Ep9 itself? For all we know, they could bring her back in an earlier or later episode. (Tbh Iām putting my bets on a later episode; like midway or in the late stages of S2 theyād be like,Ā āHey fans who were here since S1, remember the girl who you all fell in love with and who broke your hearts when she left? Surprise!!ā)
All that being said, I really do hope that Homura returns in S2!! Thereās a lot that could be done with a hypothetical return/reunion-with-Jyushi episode. Itās probably gonna break our hearts again one way or another, but still!! And if she comes back, Iām pretty sure weāll definitely see more of Jyushiās water trick. Itās a must ;v;
