"I’m grateful (on reaching 500 La Liga matches with Real Madrid.) Being at Madrid it is feasible that you can achieve that kind of record. At another club it would have been harder. I have failed in some of these matches, as I'm only human. I make mistakes and try to correct them. 

The team is getting there. In two weeks football can change a lot. Before there was a barrage of criticism and now things are quiet. We know that at Real Madrid the criticism must be harsh and sometimes it can be soft. We have recovered from the setback at the Calderón and we are where we want to be. If I have to bear the responsibility for what happened at the Calderón, I will do so. Better that I do then one of the younger players. 

Isco is the most important player for the future of Spanish football. He has to focus on his game because flattery can weaken players. He's a young player with a lot of talent and is the future of Real Madrid and the Spanish National Team."
