#22 long

1958 Galesi with 3d printed grips. I believe it is a model 6 (maybe a 503 or a 9?), but cannot find accurate information regarding the specific model details. This is branded “Armi-Galesi”, which were issued firearms in Italy. Notably, it would blow its factory grips off when firing a round of .22 long. Yes, it is a 22 long, not a 22 long rifle…which is a bit of an inconvenience. These new grips are designed to actually stay on the pistol when it is being used.

Honestly, this pistol is more of an interesting conversation piece than it is anything else. First off, it is tiny. Size wise, it is along the lines of a North American Arms micro revolver.  I have three NAA’s, and they all have a longer barrel than this (the largest NAA I have is the Black Widow, so they are all small).

This is a single action only striker fire pistol, using a blow back design. I would not expect a 22 made in the 1950′s to be a striker fire, but it is. Let’s refrain from discussing the functionality of this one and just agree it is a very interesting old pistol.
