WWE occasionally stream live podcasts, title Stone Cold Podcast, after pay per views or an episode of Monday night Raw. The podcasts are hosted by Steve Austin and contain's superstars from the former and current main roster.
WWE live streamed an exclusive podcast during the Wrestlemania Axxess weekend, with iconic wrestler Mick Foley, with a special appearance from his daughter.
The podcasts are used to allows the guests to speak about their career, their life in detail, something you wouldn’t really hear about on the weekly shows. The podcasts give the WWE universe a larger insight to their favourite and icon WWE superstars.
What could go wrong when live streaming:
The timing of theme songs played at the wrong time. The backstage crew, may not be focused on the audio queues for the guest coming out, as Axxess is a complexed event for the WWE staff, as there are many superstars and members of the WWE universe strolling around the building. A lot of planing and coordinating has to be put together, to allow everything to work well.
Users may be unable to watch the live stream using the WWE Network application, I have experienced issues watching live events, including podcasts and pay per views. The streams sometimes skip backwards whilst I am watching it, This isn’t due to internet connection because I have exceeded the recommended bandwidth (speed).
If a member of the WWE universe wanted to watch the WWE Network using a Roku Player, they would have to buy a specific model of the Roku line, one their it more modern than compared to their other devices.
