On this day, one year ago...
Today we went to Nara Park. It was probably the place I was most looking forward to going, knowing that there are hundreds of tame deer you can hand-feed 🥰 It was a beautiful day for it, too. Lovely spring weather.
There's so much more than just the deer. Wonderful shrines, pagoda's and architecture you could explore for hours.
For anyone visiting Japan, Nara Park is a must-see.
When we got back to Kyoto I had some errands to run, so I was out at night doing laundry, picking up mail, getting food from the conbini... I felt so safe and relaxed walking around at night on my own. I also went to my first Hyaku En Shop - those things are insane! So much you can get for only 100 yen! I picked up a laundry bag that I needed.
I also went to McDonalds, and you wouldn't think it, but ordering food at McDonalds is WAY more confusing than any actual Japanese restaurant. Hot damn that was stressful 😅 I needed to bring some takeout back to the hotel for my friend and I, but next time I think I'll stick to conbinis!!!
