Gearing Up for the end of the preseason
It’s that time folks. The best time of the year. The Summer heat is in full force on the east coast, the beaches are packed, and Camps around the NFL are moving into practice mode as we waltz into week 3 of the preseason. At the beginning of camp we touched on how to look at your ranking of players. So much information has come out and changed since then that the rankings could be changing on a day to day basis based on who’s doing what in camp. Were you excited about the prospects of Larry Fitzgerald or Christian Kirk? Well now Add Michael Crabtree to the fold and if he can still run, will probably make that team and steal a target share. He slowly started to build a chemistry with Lamar last season at the very end. I’m not saying he’s a viable fantasy option for your team, but I am saying he cuts into target shares for other players if he makes that team. Not like you should be targeting Arizona Cardinals any AMIRITE!!!! What I wanted to get across today is that you can never be prepared enough for anything. ANYTHING. I had over 70 individual RB and WR’s ranked going into this week. I decided that wasn’t good enough based on how my mock drafts were acting so I needed to adjust. Re Ranked 75 at each and locked it into my spread sheet. I’ve re-reviewed the yardage share for Running backs from last season and have adjusted my RB’s accordingly, especially with the Gordon and Zeke holdouts.
Speaking of those holdouts, how bad does it suck to actually have the 4th or 5th pick in any Fantasy draft this year? You're going to be staring Zeke right in the face... you know if you do it and he plays you’re going to get a steal, but Le’veon Bell also set a dangerous precedent for us fantasy footballers. Even worse is Melvin Gordon who seems further away from seeing the field, yet has more of a gripe to holdout. I have Melvin Gordon pretty much locked in the third round right now. If he’s there at the end of the second I’m considering it if my WR Targets and Kelce are gone. I Do not have a lot of top tier WR talent. It ends at Antonio Brown... if it stretches that far. He’s a special talent and I don’t doubt he will produce this year, but I question how much the raiders can FORCE him the ball and be competitive. With that being said and in no order, try to get one of these WR by the end of the second round: Hopkins, Julio Jones, Davante Adams, Michael Thomas and the bubble guy here is AB84. What do you think?
