#2016 throwback

i see people doing the 2016 throwbacks and like... i don’t think i’ve ever felt worse than i did in 2016. i’m fully serious when i say it’s a wonder i didn’t die. i was constantly burning inside, doing everything i could to numb myself. i look back at that time with a lot of regret and basically want to say sorry to everyone i met back then.

but at least i drew a lot. it's a cliché but i think that was what kept me going. i still use some of the stuff i drew back then when i talk about making comics as a way of venting strong emotions, or any emotion really. i miss doing short comics as often as i did back then, just blurting out whatever came to mind.
