The ranking now is: 1st: Pickled plum and seaweed 2nd: Tamanoko 3rd: Kenchin 4th: Chikara 5th: Tororo 6th: Curry 7th: Tempura 8th: Meat 9th: Kitsune 10th: Kakiage 11th: Ontama   Impressively, the kakiage went right to the top ten. There’s nothing really about the flavour that’s worthy of special mention, good or bad. It has no bad points, but I couldn’t find any especially good points to it either. But when I think that this item’s existence means the scope of the daily udon might widen, it does have meaning. The shrimp have an excellent aroma. If a pre-existing menu item had been served this week, I’d planned to offer my final verdict about the championship, but it was a new item, so I’m going to hold off until next week.
