A Point to Prove...
Having just run my first ever marathon at Bournemouth I left there with mixed emotions. I finished for which I was very pleased and I must admit to a moment after crossing the line which brought a lump to my throat. However my time was a little disappointing at 4:56, almost an hour more than I had hoped for. On reflection though the course was a lot more technical than first anticipated and is not one that would be conducive to very fast times for the first timer. With this in the back of my mind and the thought of doing London to attempt to prove what I believeI am capable of I heard to our clubs head coach to get a training plan to give me the best possible chance of hitting my goals. The plan was duly written and discussed and set at a 20 week plan split into 3 blocks. This would see my start on my own personal road to London 2016 on Monday 7th December 2015 🙂
