Riverdale Prompt #1: Archie Andrews
[A/n]: I don’t know how many of these I’ll be doing, but I’ll just keep posting these until I get ideas for actual imagines. I stole the prompts from here. I’ll also probably be doing the same thing on my Teen Wolf blog (here). I will be writing based on what happens in the tv show due to the fact that I haven’t read the comic series. Okay, I guess that’s all I have to say. Enjoy :)

You had the opportunity to spend the summer out of town, so you took it, even though it meant you wouldn’t get to spend so much time with your boyfriend, Archie. You came back only two weeks before school was supposed to start, and although Archie was supposed to spend the following day with you, he had yet to text or call you or to even stop by.
“[Y/n]! Would you mind checking the mail for me?” you heard your dad yell from upstairs.
“Sure,” you called back, slipping a pair of sneakers on. You pulled the door open, and a wave of shock (and of course happiness) ran over you. A heavy breathing, shirtless, red-headed boy stood with his back toward you. You could tell he had either been running or jogging, but regardless, you knew who it was.
“Archie?” you asked with a smile crossing your lips. He turned around a nervous expression on his face. You stepped outside of your home, leaving the door open, to press a kiss to his cheek. “How long have you been standing there?”
“N-not too long,” he stuttered out. “Maybe twenty minutes or so. I-I don’t really know.”
“Twenty minutes? Why didn’t you knock?”
He shrugged, “Can I, uh…can we talk?”
And you felt your heartbeat pick up. Anyone who had ever heard those words knew that they weren’t good.
“I guess so.” Your heart was beating faster than you even knew it could. “Do you wanna come in or…”
“That sounds good.” He walked past you and into the living room before you could even get in.
“Archie, is everything okay?” You had finally made it into the living room and took a seat next to him on your sofa.
“Yeah! I-I mean no, not really.” At this time you’d noticed that he wasn’t breathing as heavily as before. “Look, do you remember the night before you left to spend time with your grandparents? We were hanging out at my place?”
“Yeah, we ordered pizza and you got sauce all over my favorite shirt.”
He smiled slightly as he reminisced on the moment. “Yeah.” He grabbed your hands with his own, brushing his thumb over your skin. “Do you remember what we promised each other?”
You thought for a moment. “Well, I promised that I’d stay away from any cute Californian boys, and you promised to stay away from any cute girls while you were on your road trip with Jughead.” The last few words fell from your mouth slower than the others as anxiety washed over you. Archie didn’t say anything. “Did you cheat on me?” Still nothing. You pulled your hands away from his, a disgusted look on your face. “I can’t believe it,” you mumbled.
“Who knew you’d be the one to throw our relationship away all for sex with some stranger.“
“It wasn’t a stranger,” Archie sighed.
You scoffed, “As if that makes it any better.” You shook your head as the first set of tears fell from your eyes, “Who was it, Archie?”
He looked up at you with watery eyes, “Ms. Grundy, my music instructor.”
