what will be the main structure of the knowledge commons? what will be the binding element of our commoners? will that act similar to a community in which trust is mandatory or to a network in which following certain protocols is mandatory? 

What shall be the main principles to define the architecture of the commons? Michel Bauwens just defined three principles for their work in Ghent: fair, ecological, local. What will be ours? Just, inclusive, real? 

Pekka Himanen talks about The Jargon File hackers created and shared. How will we define the values, ethics, terminology of our network? Do we need a jargon of our own or shall we leave it open? Thinking of Elias Canetti’s open and closed masses in his Crowds and Power book, what are the limits of openness? Do we have to choose between an open, easily dispersible mass and a closed and more sustainable one?  

Do we need a territorial approach for the launch and further expansion of XXI? What is our starting playground? Shall I travel like a missionary and make people come together? Would that be my position as the “strong figure of political entrepreneurship in line with the production of the common”. (xviii, Assembly)

In Assembly Hardt and Negri call for “strategy for movement” and “tactic for leadership”. (18, Assembly) When discussing the strategy of the movement they describe the political direction. However Lieven de Cauter has elaborated on the commons as they should be deprived of their political manners. In the case of XXI coop will we define a political direction? Or will we act beyond the issue of political if there is any such place?
