Last week of my intern/externship at the Federal Court
This has been the best, shortest, most impactful job I could've imagined. I've been working really hard on cross motions for summary judgment and I get to write the opinion this week to finish it off.
It's been hectic. I pulled an all nighter in the process.. completely unexpectedly. I presented both of my 30+ page memos to my judge, even though I always expected to just present my research to my law clerk.. I am so proud of the work I've done and I really really hope that they are too. I want to do this forever. As tired as I am, I want to work in the chambers forever.
My life is just so wonderful. It's so impossibly hard, but I have the best career and future in the works for me. I have the most incredible and supportive relationship.. I never thought this existed outside of story books. It's not easy all the time, but it's as close to perfect as any Disney movie could get.
I never thought being so happy would require THIS much work.. I'm so exhausted... but it's so amazingly worth it.
Keep working fellow lawblrs. I PROMISE it will work out and pay off. My thoughts are with you.
Pull as you climb.
