This song in particular is one of the first songs I had the pleasure working directly with 1 DA BOY on after signing him to our label, Black Grove 401 Records, LLC. I remember it like it was yesterday. I had the privilege in meeting Terrance DeWayne Sweet, professionally known as 1 DA BOY. He was determined to set out to impress me. Little did he know, he already had. A gentleman by the name of Mic stopped me one day and said, "You're just the person I'm looking for!" He continued by saying, "Hold on Ms. Kompari, I have something I want you to hear." Just a few seconds had passed, and I was in possession of music from a CD titled, "Stay Out My Business" by 1 DA BOY. Humm... I can easily appreciate the title of the CD, and the name 1 DA BOY? He took on a name as a Super Hero. It was definitely appropriate.Â
Oh, I was in for a delectable treat. His energy lit up every room he walked in. His personality was infectious and people grew to love him instantly. We were ready to take the industry by storm. However, life is full of interruptions and heartache. Yet, there are certain things, thoughts and emotions that will never die. Thank GOD Love endures forever! (to be continued...)
