Best of luck to H for the start of his residencies tonight.
Hoping for livestreams and a new view of an album I just can't warm to.
I really like electronic dance music, but 80s/90s electronic dance music.
Hoping tonight and the next few nights I see it live and it grabs me.
Not sure how the rest of his discography fits with this album. Hopefully there are some great segues and mood changes worked into the set list. Could do without hearing WS again for sure!
Music is art. Art is subjective.
Pop is not a dirty word. Pop music is not a dismissible genre. Making good pop music is a skill that most people just don't have.
I like my artists to grow and create music I'm going to love for ages.
Sometimes their music explodes, hits the mood of the moment bang on, fits perfectly. Sometimes it doesn't.
Music is art.
Art is subjective.
It's ok to not quite get it. It's ok to not really get it. It's ok not care for it.
And it's really ok to have preferences. And to harbour dislike and outright disregard for certain artists.
While I can get tickets for H, with a good view, not too high, on a date that suits me... Hotel, transport in London and flights topping out at well over €1,200.
That's an entire mortgage payment.
I will wait, til there's a world tour announced, because the only music act I would pay that much to see is One Direction.
Charity Screening of This Is Us.
I've watched this film many times, but this time was so poignant.
Liam was a ray of sunshine, seemed so happy to be doing what he was doing, travelling with his brothers.
Seeing Geoff and Karen tear up, talking about missing their son as he traveled the world took on a whole new meaning.
Seeing Jay and Robin was very sad too.
I laughed, I cried, I sang along.

Watching 50 year olds dance to 1D, this cannot be good for my health
Capital TV are currently playing 'One Direction: All The Hits'
No shame here people.

Hmm... since I posted that last video, I'm now suddenly being followed by a tumblr called "1d4evablog", of all things. Also their home page just redirects you to some app thing called "FANCY" that tries to get you to sign up to it. Presumably so it can leech the life-force from your very being and use it to fuel some kind of horrific spambot. Ugh.
Why does this weird shit always happen to me when I post a dumb video? Probably karma or something. Somewhere up there, a higher power is probably telling me to stop dicking around with a webcam because it's frankly embarrassing. Ah well, least it wasn't liked by a transgender porn blog this time.
I mean srsly. What was even up with that.
