Friends of ours from Sydney who came up for our engagement party last month (and ended up spending like $3000 because their car broke down and the had to get it towed, and hire a rental etc etc; it was a nightmare for them) messaged T last night to invite us to their wedding...next month 😶

And T and I are now panicking trying to figure out where money to go to Sydney is going to come from on such short notice - and we can't/don't want to say no we can't make it because a) they're good friends, and b) they spent an eff-tonne more coming to our engagement party then we're likely to spend going to their wedding.

They're just having a really small service in Aus this year because they want to move to Canada next year and then they'll have a big wedding in Brazil (where she's from) next year too. So obvs we need to go to this one next month because we defs won't be able to go to Brazil next year 😅

It's just incredibly stressful. We were thinking we could fly down and fly back the same day, but the flight back will probs be too early + expensive. The wedding is at 10:30am so to drive we'd need to leave home at like 4am to get to Sydney by 9am and then hopefully I can get early check-in for the hotel we'll stay in so we can quickly get ready and go 😫

Or T will need to get the Friday off work and hopefully pick up a shift on the Monday that week so we don't loose money (as that's his casual job) and we drive down the Friday and probs back on the Saturday.
