Children in doubt

Both Ren and Meiling were in deep, deep doubt of what their paths should be. They had both been taught that all of humanity was evil and untrustworthy, and that they should all destroy it and help their respective family rule the world. (Hao in Meiling’s case) They both knew in their hearts that was not the correct path, and spent years isolated and in denial before seeing the light.

I reread Shaman King zero and it really hurts how they already wanted the same thing at their core. :,)
