Can Jameis Winston revive career in audition to be Drew Brees’ heir? METAIRIE, La. -- The New Orleans Saints have become the finishing school of choice for quarterbacks in need of a career revival.
Nanowrimo Day Eleven
“Juoniite, you're with me” they ordered, waving over a mid-sized gem with a shock of orange hair that stood straight up in the air. The Juoniite – an unusual gem – was a labourer by cut, but was perfectly capable of using a blaster pistol like the one strapped to their belt if necessary. “We're going to take a look around”
“Alright, ma'am” Juoniite grinned, following the Captain. “This is quite a place, huh? I've never been anywhere quite this cold”
“I've been a few places a little chillier” Realgar replied, the two gems clambering their way down from the plateau. “Omicron seven was pretty bad”
“Good thing we aren't organic, huh? I heard most of them'd freeze solid in this sorta weather”
“You're not far wrong” Realgar said. “Keep your eyes peeled for any native life. I want a full report for Homeworld. This place has plenty of mountains, which means volcanic activity, which means it could be a good place for a few kindergartens”
“I hear you” Juoniite said, a very serious look coming over her pointed face. Like every other gem on the ship, she had probably been assigned to the crapsack of a world that was Ukdah Four due to some transgression or another, and the chance to put her name on a report that might make Homeworld happy was an opportunity that she couldn't afford to pass up.
They walked for maybe half a kilometre in silence through the lowlands around the plateau, skirting around a lake where frozen chunks of methane floated like ice would on a more temperate planet. The cloud cover overhead lightened now in places, sending slender beams of light down to illuminate features of the cold blue landscape.
