To those in grief over the loss of Rick May, I hope everyone continues to play the game with hope to an end to this dark moment in everyone's lives.
The voice of Soldier is dead, but the spirit of the character lives on through the game and the voice lines in it. I would like to believe, that if he were to deliver a message from beyond the grave, he would say, "Stay frosty and keep playing maggots!" as the lovable deranged rocket man we all know and love.
Remember to stay healthy and clean, don't leave the house if you don't have to and do whatever you can to keep yourself safe as well as keep others safe. Show kindness to those in need. Show sympathy to those suffering. Show respect for those we have lost.
The Soldier may not have been my favorite TF character but he was, is and always will be one of the most funniest characters I've ever known. Rick May... you will not be forgotten, Godspeed and may your soul rest in peace.
Alex Trebek grew up in Sudbury, just two hours from where I grew up in North Bay. I really related to him as another child of sorta forgotten Northern Ontario.
U.S. Rep. John Lewis, D-Ga., one of the nation’s most preeminent civil rights figures, died Friday night. He was 80 and had been battling pancreatic cancer.
Lewis’ journey took him from protests against Jim Crow laws in the South, including the 1963 March on Washington and the 1965 Selma-to-Montgomery march known as “Bloody Sunday” -- to a long career representing Georgia in the House of Representatives.
May his memory be a blessing!
