Alyssa reckoned that every girl went through a phase where they wanted to cut their hair short, and that this was probably it for her. She spent a few moments wondering what it would be like if she cropped her hair, or better yet, shaved it all off.

They looked murky, a muddy rain puddle that wasn't deep enough to reflect dark storm clouds or an azure blue cloudless sky. It was nothing pretty or impressive.
