Imma just give up on today and go back to bed. I have no clean underwear so I was just wearing my tights, sneezed and peed myself in the kitchen (obvs need to do more pelvic floor exercises), didn't have a liner on because NO CLEAN UNDERWEAR. Thankfully I'm doing laundry today so peed on tights went straight into the washing machine and I now have a clean pair on with a liner very uncomfortably in place because I'd rather not pee myself again. π£
Weekend Update
Finished painting (the walls at least, the trims etc will be done at a later date) our new room on Saturday night. π The colour is just awesome! I'm so happy with it. I can't wait to get out of this smaller cramped room and into one that's slightly bigger and will definitely be more organized. π Sunday was essentially a write off because it was rainy and neither of us wanted to do much. We made Sunday pancakes and watched a few episodes of The Office and watched The Rocker during dinner. We did manage to completely empty the room and put together our bedframe, minus the middle support because that bed has been a nightmare from the start and we have to do some fixing. But the bed is in position! π We've also decided to look into how much it'll cost to do floorboard look laminate in the house instead of sanding and polishing the floorboards. It'll mean a bit more money, but in the end I think it'll definitely be worth it, because I know what state the house got into when T and I didn't live here for six months, and laminate will be easier to clean and maintain then hardwood floors. π Spent a lovely 30 mins in Maternity yesterday because June Bug (and my dumb anterior placenta) decided it would be a good time to stop kicking me in the front and aim for my back instead, so I couldn't feel anything. π Not how I wanted to spend the public holiday or our 38 week milestone, but hey, he had to squeeze in one scare before the end I guess. π After I'd been checked out and reassured June Bug was fine, and was indeed moving quite a lot (little turd didn't stop moving all afternoon did he π) we went to the bathroom quickly before leaving. While T was in the bathroom one of the midwives came out looked up and down the corridor walked to one of the entries and went "where's the baby?" while turning around to see the bub in its hospital bassinet just sitting in the hospital hallway unattended while the mother sat outside with her back toward it. I stood there in shock while the midwife turned back to the mother and said "You can't do that, I'm taking him back into the ward" and wheeled bub back into the maternity unit. Meanwhile I'm standing there bug-eyed because who in their right mind leaves a newborn in a hospital corridor while you sit outside doing god knows what? I still don't believe that happened. π£ After the hospital we went out to my mum's and loaded up the car with all of our essentials for June Bug! π When T comes home this afternoon we'll unpack and put what we can into place. π The car is literally chockers full of stuff. π But I'm glad to finally be able to set up some of the room. The rest won't be able to be set up until we've bought our new wardrobe and dressers, but at least everything we'll immediately need is here in case he decides to come early. And last night T put together our cube shelves, so we have two items of furniture ready to go in the new space! π I spent a good 30 minutes just standing in our room picturing where everything was going to go and what we'd hang on the walls and it just looks amazing in my mind. π I'm so very excited for our room to be complete, and for our little June Big to join us in two weeks time! ππ
