If this was a men’s team we would be calling them legends. But the women can’t catch a break. If we would have only won by 2 they would have been told they suck and it’s atrocious they couldn’t beat a underfunded team like Thailand by more. But now that they do better than any of the precious men’s teams have done it’s considered an atrocity anyway. They are professionals that went out on the world biggest stage and did what they do best and showed respect to Thailand’s team by keeping up their rate of play and not dumbing it down. They have even interviewed Thai players and asked if they thought the US women were being unprofessional and every single one of them said no. The real issue here is the pay disparity in country’s like Thailand so that they can’t properly build their club. People need to grow the fuck up and sit the fuck down. You go out and score a World Cup Goal and then not celebrate.
