#12sweaters2015

I can’t believe that I’ve knitted 12 sweaters this year. I know more than half are baby cardigans, but it does surprise me that I’ve made it to 12 in total. It feels like all my knitting has been really slow this year. Lots of boring projects rather than anything inspiring. My favourites are certainly the wee ones, all of them, they aren’t so boring to knit since they are small and of interesting construction. I also can’t believe it was only this year that I knit my exeter. This has fast become my favourite sweater, I just love it and wear it all the time.

This is the 11th jumper of the year (well the 12th finished one but the photos for the 12th are coming soon). This is the textured circle shrug pattern which is free, although I actually have it in a book. I used left over cascade tweed yarn from my forestry cardigan. I still have a little leftover even after 2 jumpers. There was so much ribbing on this shrug followed by lots and lots of seed stitch I did get rather bored by the end, but actually the finished object will be pretty wearable when the weather cheers up!

It’s the perfect cardigan: great shape, pockets, warm and in a lovely yarn. I’m so happy with it! Also loving the pictures which are taken in a nearby wood to our very soon to be old house. We move out next week and I’m really sad about that but looking forward to our next adventure.
