“Are you sad you’re not my date tonight?” Saph asked when she finally found Slate, smirking as she teased him, because it might be her favourite thing to do. “Are you all on your lonesome? Or did mummy bring you as hers?”

“I like how we match” Abel said with a soft smile as he nudged Ashton’s shoulder with his own. It wasn’t obnoxious, but they were coordinated, in a classy kind of way, which was nice. “I promise not to get as shitfaced tonight as I was the other day” he said then, but he was still drinking, couldn’t quite help himself as he sipped on the second fancy cocktail of the night.

“So” Saph started as she slid next to Honey, outside, a place where they always seemed to meet. “It’s better then thirteen anyway, not as cold” she smirked, popping a cigarette into her mouth before holding out the half full pack, an offering. “And we can escape whenever we want, which is nice, not so claustrophobic”

Sapphire wasn’t usually the date type, but when the opportunity came about to go to the ball with Surya, she couldn’t really turn it down. It was Surya after all. “Can’t say I’m surprised by the theme” she sad, twirling her martini around, even though she thought it tasted vile. “At least it’s not some stupid beach theme, we can escape the sand for one night”

“What do you think of the tributes being cuffed together?” Luca asked around his bottle of beer, steering clear of the sugary cocktails this time around. “I think it was good to bring some of the pairs together, see how they interact, it could form new friendships or even more conflict, right?”

“Did you think the theme made it harder, or easier for you to style?” Luca wondered. He always found it more difficult to draw, or paint, or even tattoo, when he was restricted to a certain theme. But some people found it helpful, having that guide. He wondered how Selene worked.

“Have you ever played poker?” Luca asked Hunter, curious. He didn’t even know the rules of the game, but with it being casino themed, he suspected their might be a few games going on at some point. “Not sure if I have a great poker face” he laughed then, although some might disagree, he had been told before how hard it was for people to read him.
