TO BE KILLED SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 18, 2021 BY 12PM: Hello, my name is #Treble. My animal id is #121614. #ID121614! I am a #male orange tabby/ white #cat at the #Manhattan Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 6 years 2 months old. I came into the shelter as a owner surrender - aco on 7/14/2021, with the surrender reason stated as person circumstance- landlord won't allow. Treble is on the emergency placement list due to behavior. Treble is an under-socialized adult cat who does not appear to be thriving in the care center; he continues to display distance-increasing behavior when approached for interactions and spends most of his time hiding. He is a long stay that has not warmed up despite staff using treats to build a positive association. Due to his stress levels, it is in Treble's best interest to move out of the kennel environment and into a stable home as quickly as possible. I would like a home where there is another cat that I can play with! I'm an independent kitty who likes to do my own thing. I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace. I'm sensitive and shy. I'll need extra help from you. I would do best in a home with only adult humans.
