I read several posts and theories and I wanted to share mine as well.

I can understand why everyone is thinking that Gunko is Brooke's daughter but I don't think she actually is. I think she might be the daughter of one of the nobles Brook served in his previous life, while he was in the army. When he first joined the crew, he said he was part of the army of a certain kingdom, so there is definitely the chance that Gunko was the princess of said Kingdom and maybe they got close because Brook used to play music for her, this would also explain her fascination with music in the previous chapter, and her being so interested in it to the point she wanted to take him away to play for her.

In these new panels, we see her calling for her father and I think this might be some kind of memory of her kingdom being taken over by Imu and the Holy Knights, and maybe it is right there where she gets recruited by them, either by force or as a sacrifice to save her people.

I also don't think that she's crying, I think that's blood and her eye has been taken out to be replaced with the odd one we see her with now.

In the next panel we see her younger self talking with Brook in what to me looks like a goodbye, as if he was telling her the reason why he would soon be leaving, and maybe he left before all that happened to her kingdom, that would also explain why Brook didn't immediately recognize her, as she was way younger when he last saw her.
