I love all the stories and headcanons you post. I was wondering, do you have anything on Quadraxis? It's my favourite boss in the series, design-wise and gameplay-wise.

The Quadraxis was designed to guard the energy controller on Aether, but the Ing managed to steal it. In desperation, the Luminoth were trying to make a second Quadraxis out of their remaining materials, which they planned to use to combat the first. It would have been better, if they'd actually managed to do any work on it- unfortunately, rogue droids killed off most of Sanctuary Fortress' mechanics and its sentinel in the early stages of production. The remains can be seen in the temple. After the war ended, they were put into storage, because they only served as a reminder of the horrors that had unfolded on Aether.
It takes a large number of Ing to command the Quadraxis, because of it's sheer size. Without Ing to pilot it, the Quadraxis can barely control its own limbs, because previous Ing possession has affected its artificial intelligence.
The spider ball sections on the legs were originally designed so that, during and between battles, tiny drones could climb the magnetic pathways up the legs and fix any damage at the vulnerable joints. The Ing destroyed most of these repair drones when wrestling with the Quadraxis the first time, when they stole it and took it to Dark Aether. It was to their own detriment, because when Samus battled Quadraxis they couldn’t maintain it.
