Malcom X
I really connected with Mr. X at the beginning of the piece. He said he was the most articulate hustler on the street. Although I do not hustle I am the most articulate in my group of friends. Also like Mr. X I struggle to put what I am thinking in writing. In my mind it sounds so nice and well thought out. That being said when it comes time to put what I am thinking on paper is a different story.
I was also really impressed by thirst for knowledge. He mention when they turn the lights out he still found a way to read. He was so self motivated that he educated himself past his 8th grade education. He speaks about he loved reading Muhammad's pieces. He said Muhammad's work spread so quickly throughout the United States because it was relate able to all Negros. When he said that it reminded me of myself because I will read something I am interested all day. If the piece is boring and I can't really relate to it I become uniterested very quickly.
