What's your favorite fanfic & why :D? Can we get a sentence or two and maybe a link ;D?
WELL I don’t really have a favourite Gravebone fic at this point (I have found I prefer to write this pairing more than read it).
My favourite fic of ALL TIME is probably hard to say. I feel like there’s some really good ones I’m forgetting.
But I suppose the fic that comes to mind is Chapter 2 of “Common Blood” by 1001cranes (each chapter is a series of stories set in the same universe. All chapters are REAL good). It’s called “Designer Heart” and it’s basically perfect. It’s a teen wolf fic, set in the world of Repo! The Genetic Opera. The pairing is Derek/Jackson (my teen wolf otp) and it’s.... it’s dark, and messed up and poetic in a way that is so wonderful and beautiful to read. I think about it a lot.
Here’s a few sentences:
“You’re mine,” he says, and Jackson shivers underneath his hand, hard. Leans back into his touch. He turns around to press his nose to the hollow of Derek’s throat. To breathe him in, to press a kiss there, trembling, and Derek is struck with a sudden rush of affection, protectiveness, possessiveness - all wrapped up and tied together. Jackson is something unaccountably precious to him, upgrades or no upgrades, common blood beating through a designer heart.
