I have a sunbeam mixmaster stand mixer that is chrome and it looks like the service no. I 1-88. I'm looking for replacement beaters because the beaters I have don't get to the bottom of the stainless steel bowl so things aren't thoroughly mixed. I'm finding beaters for service no. 1-8B. Are there two different models or are these the same? Thanks for your time with this!
Hmm, did the beaters come with the mixer or are they replacements already?
Do your beaters have the little plastic piece on the bottom of one? That beater goes on the against the outside of the bowl that is the piece that will touch the bottom and turn the mixer bowl. If that is gone, or worn completely down you can turn the screw under the head of the mixer and have it sit lower in the bowl for now.
Is there an MM or an MMB on the mixer, by the service no.? If there is a replacement beater for those will fit it.

It is my understanding that 1-88 and 1-8B were the same (a misread of the model number) but as my 1-8B is in storage and you did not provide a picture I can’t be sure what yours is.
