Hulk Comic No. 1, dated 7 March 1979. Cover art by Brian Bolland and Sal Buscema. Apparently the Editor wasn't keen on Bolland's depiction of Hulk's face and so it was replaced with an existing image by Sal Buscema (the full Bolland image is out there on the internet and easy enough to find). Although some may be outraged I think the editor made the right choice for the comic and I much prefer this one. It just looks more like the Hulk.
Below is the inside of the front cover giving a taster of what awaits the reader. I think I'm right in saying Hulk Comic was the first Marvel UK title to feature a significant number of UK originated strips (Black Knight, Nick Fury and Night Raven).

Most of the roller derby scenes from this episode were shot at the rink used by the Los Angeles Thunderbirds (the team here is called the Los Angeles Tornadoes). Dick Sargent, known primarily as the second Darrin in Bewitched, makes the first of his three series guest appearances in this episode.
