Eric Morecambe, Ernie Wise and Ronnie Barker. The occasion was a BBC press event at The Shire Horse Inn, Maidenhead Thicket, 5 August 1976 (some sources say the 4th).
Tornado No. 20, dated 4 August 1979. Captain Klep cover, artist unknown. The art on the strip inside is credited to Paul Ailey but hard to tell if this is his as well. A number of different artists worked on Captain Klep.
Rebellion.
Battle Action Force cover dated 4 August 1984. 'Death Castle' cover by Ron Turner.
Back page Action Force Datafile feature on 'Beaver and Silent Attack'. For the third generation of Action Force in 1985 this figure was replaced by Recondo and his Silent Attack kayak.

Johnny Red remembers his early years flying his Hurricane with Falcon Squadron on the Eastern Front in WW2.
Written by Tom Tully (d.2013), Johnny Red was Battle's longest running strip and John Cooper (1942-2015) its longest running artist. Joe Colquhoun (1926-1987) was the original artist for the strip and probably drew most of the stories that Johnny is remembering on the page above. That said John Cooper did a fantastic job taking over. I can never decide which of the two I consider as the definitive Johnny Red artist.
If you were a collector this would be a nice page to have as original art. Wonder who owns the art now? Wonder if it even still exists?

Warlord No. 254 cover dated 4 August 1979. It Happened This Week cover by Jeff Bevan who also drew the interior 2 page strip titled 'The Bomb'. D.C. Thomson & Co. Ltd.
Battle Action cover dated 4 August 1979. Battle frequently had 'montage' covers like this with a multitude of stories/characters on the cover. Warlord, their main rival, didn't tend to do this as much.

Death Castle, the SAS Force story that ran in Battle Action Force from the issues cover dated 30 June 1984 to 4 August 1984.
Great logo and always enjoyed Ron Turner's art although given the moody location of the story it would also have been nice to see what Jim Watson would have made of it.
