ONLINE CALL TO ACTION
Call the DOJ at 212-637-2200 to ask that they investigate the NYPD killing of Mohamed Bah
5 years ago NYPD responded to Hawa Bah's call for help with her son who was having a mental health crisis. They arrived and killed him. He was no threat to a single officer, only to himself. His mother deserves answers. His killers deserve their day in court.
The number to call is: 212-637-2200
Here’s a sample script you can use: “Hello. I am calling to tell U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara to launch a full investigation into the NYPD killing of Mohamed Bah and fully prosecute all officers responsible. I also ask that Mr. Bharara meet with Mohamed’s mother, which she has been requesting for a month.”

Grounding for Escalation: A Webinar for Justice Organizers
In our conversation on Grounding for Escalation, we will explore ways of keeping ourselves centered in our values and faith when engaging with hard conversations. Sign up at https://goo.gl/forms/yawZDyoFbIKyuyYN2 We are very excited to host Caitlin Breedlove and Nora Rasman from the Standing on the Side of Love campaign to start the conversation with some personal background about where they have found their energy and sustaining values for engagement with justice work. There will be some time for questions, and then we will break into smaller groups to do our own explorations as well. We are excited to hear their stories and to consider with you what kinds of grounding and energizing work can make you feel ready to stay in this work for the long haul and bring others along as well. Please sign up to join us on Feb. 9th at 7:30PM EST. We have expanded our capacity for this call, in anticipation that many people may be feeling urgency to engage in the work, and the need for this kind of skill building.
