“Come on,” she said to Donato, tugging him past the bouncer she waved to at the door. He seemed reluctant, but she was having none of it. There were few things that would get Magda to work on one of her nights off—if one of her fave girls was on, maybe, or if she was taking friends in, but that was literally it. She was trying to get Donato to loosen up a little. Raziel’s right-hand-man was a sometime friend of hers, but they weren’t as close as they could be, and he had always been reserved—even before the world went off the rails. “Never have I ever met someone with so many years under their belt who was so bored by everything,” she teased, twirling around on him and playing with his lapel. She was dressed comfortably tonight—not badly so as to disrespect the establishment—but just black skinny jeans and a soft, grey off the shoulder blouse, exposing rhinestone bra straps.
