Anyways. Uhhhh yeah I didn't post about yesterday but basically my friend emily came to drop off a gift for me and it was a stuffed valentines deer which is related to an inside joke between us and it made me so happy bc I thought she kinda forgot about me but then that happened and my heart is warm. C: but yeah the end of my day was just me being depressed and alone so yeah :/

So then today I woke up super late, like almost noon. Then I went to a thrift store and bought a super cozy mens sweater (I frckn love mens sweaters). And then I had a soup and salad bar at this restaurant with my mom. We had desert and it was a cream puff with extra hot fudge and I felt so fckn guilty afterwords because it was frckn huge and even tho we split it I was just thinking about the nutritional contents and stuff and yeah. But it was worth it ig. It was delicious.

Then I went home, chilled out til dinner, went out to eat with the fam, and now I'm at home. I should pick up embroidery again. Just a random thought.

Devout even though that seemed unexpected of her, Ro knew that part of Imbolc tradition was the exchanging of gifts. Normally, this was reserved specifically and only for the Queen herself and for Raven—not even Frost got gifts; they weren’t like that, didn’t want to send the wrong message. But Ro appreciated the Unseelie Lure, knew what she did for the Court and above all else Ro treasured the Court. She didn’t know the girl well, but she’d watch her... change, over the years, in a way that felt almost familiar. The execution was utterly different, but the dissonance was recognizable. And so, gift in tow, Ro went to try to find whatever gaggle Larkspur was undoubtedly in the middle of.

Ro found the starlet on the edge of the dance floor, her voice preceding her out of the crowd. It was hard to pick out among all the noise, but Ro knew the voice and what to listen for. It sounded flat, as if in defiance of its own power. Another sound Ro knew well. When the tall woman approached the group, they had the wits to part for her. It wasn’t often “the Dove of Death” made a beeline with intention that didn’t end in blood, so they were eager to let her move through them without touching her. Ro didn’t mind, at least, that she didn’t have to touch strangers. She liked space around her. All the same, she touched a leather-gloved hand to Lark’s arm. “Oi, Lark, I got something for you.”
