Nhiều lần đi trên đường khi mà hoàng hôn trải dài, cái thời điểm mà mình mong chờ nhất trong ngày nhiều lần tôi tự hỏi rằng: sao người ta có thể đủ dứt bỏ ra đi, bao nhiêu bức tường xây lên bao nhiêu thời gian qua rồi trong loe lóe suy nghĩ người ta kí vào một tờ giấy mỏng toe, rồi xách va li đến nơi khác, không hi vọng, không hoài nghi, tất cả là nhẹ tênh.

Một lần trong tháng 10, tôi ra sân bay tiễn bạn về Buôn Ma Thuột, dẫu biết là cậu ta sẽ quay về dẫu biết chỉ là bạn bè chưa đến nỗi thân thiết nhưng bỗng nhiên mắt tôi lại cay khi cậu cười hành động vẫy tay chào tạm biệt rồi đến quay soát vé cuối cùng là lặn mất hút. Tôi đứng đó, chờ bóng dáng cậu bạn mình đi hẳn rồi ngoảnh mặt ra về như là tôi sẽ không còn thấy cậu ấy nữa.

Tôi không biết bạn như thế nào, nhưng cái cảm giác ngày nào bạn cũng gặp người đó, ngày nào cũng thấy họ cười, ngày nào cũng được nói chuyện rồi bỗng dưng họ biến mất trước mắt bạn và bạn cứ lặng lẽ đứng nhìn. Điều đó không chỉ đơn giản là 'thấy nhau' mà đã trở thành một 'thói quen' mất rồi.

Những viễn cảnh như thế ám ảnh tôi suốt một quãng thời gian, lần lượt lần lượt tua lại như một thước phim cũ, thy thoảnh hình ảnh của một cô gái mặc chiếc sơ mi xanh òa khóc trước sân bay, tiếng khóc bậc lên từng nấc, người con trai lặng lẽ bước đi, cô gái chạy vào nhà vệ sinh để kìm chế cơn hoảng loạn của bản thân. Chúng lại hết như một cảnh quay sẵn có, chỉ cần có người nhấn nút, mọi thứ sẽ ào ra tất cả.

Người thì vẫn cứ lần lượt đi, rồi thì chỉ còn mỗi chúng ta lặng lẽ ở lại mảnh đất này, ôm mộng kí ức.

There’s a scene in the music video I shot last weekend where a guy delivers food to a group of four people dressed in black try to conjure something, and then afterwards, they eat in silence. In the video, the scene is suppose to be eerie and slightly mysterious. I threw on a red gel in front of one of the lights for mood.

At the end of the first day of shoot, the remaining crew -- four of us -- were finally ready to eat. It’s not unusual, as was the case with us, for members of a film crew to be dressed in all black. I think you know where this is going. Of course we ordered in, and when the guy brought our food, we sat there eating slowly, in silence, until my friend SK, who was also producing the video, said,

“This is so meta!”

The next day, our main actor’s bike ran out of fuel, which also happens to be a scene I wrote to be shot that same day, only his bike ran out about an hour before we were set to shoot that particular scene. At the time it happened, we weren’t amused because we were already running behind schedule, and now we had to run to the fueling station. But later that night, after we’d gone to the fuel station for real and then shot the fake running out of gas scene. After we’d gone back to the fuel station and had our actor pretend to put in gas, we all went out for dinner and had a ball of time talking about all that happened during the day. I didn’t actually say it out loud, but the whole time I was thinking,
