“is there somebody you know you shouldn't call but want to so badly?" sol inquired. on and off, for days on end, her finger found it's way to linger over a name she shouldn't press. she has even had abstain from alcohol these days. memories of her crying out sunjae's name whenever her inhibitions were lowered. now that she had his number, she couldn't trust herself. but coping was even harder now.

"sunjae!" she called out once his figure finally came into view. quickly standing up from her crouched position, she ignored the numbing pain in her legs as she ran up to him. weeks of contemplating recent events, sol found herself more and more confused. with the entire population of this city being transport back in time— some remembering who they are, some not— sol was only certain that being here was not because of the stopwatch. something else was happening. the question, however, was what that meant for sunjae? with all her rebuffs, she's not sure sunjae would even want to look at her so she started chattering right away without given him a change to return the brush off. "i know i said before that i couldn't say anything—that it was better off not to and that might still be true, but..." but time travel makes me fickle, she thought begrudgingly. "i just- i wanted to ask you something... when did you move here?"

sol wiped at her cheeks. "i'm fine, thanks." it was embarrassing how involuntarily the tears fell at times. she thought she had these emotions under control— only slipping when intoxicated. but it didn't take much to trigger the waterworks these days. not as the memories of her last travel back in time started to filter in. all the times of restraint she had to endure. she put on a smile and looked up at the other. "although maybe slightly mortified that i've been here for that long. what do you think the chances that my coffee will still be at pick-up are?"
