^jordy benedict standing behind his father’s chair nd gesturing to his mother in a silent request for them to talk privately............. :| he loveslovesloves his dad but he’s also terrified of him and they’re in constant conflict or maybe not even terrified of him just terrified of disappointing him which he can’t help doing. “oh, mama, i’d die for pop if i had to”, “better take it easy on the bourbon dad it’s not good for you”, “your blood pressure’s going up just as we’re talking here, papa, it isn’t good for you just relax” <- and despite that OBVIOUS devotion bick can’t see that jordy loves him bc his idea of a success father/son relationship is one of total obedience
