Tbh i feel like ive never been like a truly disordered para BUT there was a small period in my life where i was incredibly lonely and isolated and i kept having incestuous dreams about my sibling and then during a family trip my intrusive thoughts kept rpeating a bunch of urges and feelings i didnt wnat. It eventually passed and i got over it but that time have me really panicked and scared thinking in was evil and disgusting. My heart goes out to people with more longterm/chronic paraphilic disorders, taht shit is scary

Isolation and loneliness can be so impactful. I've been able to find a small friend group online I can be open about para related things and it's been helpful to me to have people I feel safe with to talk/vent ab it. as well my current partner has been a safe person in my day to day I can confide in.
