So I'm not that original anon, but a few weeks I was googling for clips of him speaking French (long story) and couldn't spell his last name. So I just typed something like 'Coots French' into google and found out there's a class of bird called Coots, so that might be what they're talking about with the nickname?
yes i realized this after i answered the original anon lmao (my brain has not been firing on all cylinders this... week/month/year) but either way him being called coots has nothing to do with any of his personal qualities or preferences itโs just the hockey nickname formula at work
