So I'm kinda tired of people confusing the two or hating on one or the other so let's get down to what most people who aren't transphobic or excluding non-binary people think the difference between these two is.

So the general idea is to do with how bi and pan people see gender when deciding a partner. With a Bisexual person, most will say gender is a huge factor in a partner. Some are more attracted to women than men or have a difference in how they are attracted to the two. So when choosing a partner (either sexual or not) gender becomes a part of it, so if they came across a man and a woman who were the exact same beyond gender and sex they may choose one over the other due to prefernce.

Whereas a Pansexual person does not consider gender when choosing a partner, just like how to some people hair colour matters and to others it doesn't, a pansexual person is focused more on your personality than what gender you are.
