It wasn’t a big ship by any means, but Paxton wanted to learn the whole thing inside and out. He knew the schematics, of course, but there was something different about seeing something in person and seeing something in a projection.
It was on the second day, on his second walkthrough of the main deck that he ran into Zero-Three. He had yet to interact much with the synth, but he was familiar with his file. With an upbringing marred by war, Zero-Three was not at all dissimilar from the countless bio patients that had swept through Pax’s revolving-door of a trauma unit.
Pax smiled and held out his hand for the synth to shake. “I don’t believe we’ve been formally introduced. Paxton Rinne. It’s a pleasure.”
