A year into training I went to a show that Sasha was on. I went because I had a friend that wanted to go to and since I knew wrestling and, at the time, was her only wrestling friend I told her I’d go. I usually don’t go to watch shows mostly because my mentality from a fan to a pro wrestler has changed (especially now, I analyze matches more than I cheer and scream and sit on the edge of my seat like I used to with so many matches).

Anyways, there was a meet and greet and my friend got it and was in line. We got to meet Sasha and my friend motioned me to come up because I was giving her her moment with Sasha, respectfully, and told her how I was wrestling and Sasha’s face lit up and I will never forget it because I told her how I felt like quitting because at the time I was having a rough time getting booked with the training company I was with/currently am with. She is the reason today I still am in wrestling. We had such an intense talk about the passion and she told me never give up. She told me that there will always be obstacles and by the looks of me, I could handle it and that I’m strong. I will never forget that talk. I will never forget her, I will never stop supporting the hell out of Sasha Banks. I was already a fan of hers before that encounter, but now I’m an even bigger supporter.

I hope one day, if possible, I could face her in a match or have another encounter and tell her my update. That it’s now year 3 of training, year 2 (though 2020 barely anyone is wrestling) of actually having matches. That I had the patience and courage to keep pushing and kept that passion in me rather than give up on it and move on with my life. That I listened to her and listened to my heart and kept going. Even when my life hit such a rough patch, I kept going. It was like she knew and could see how tough I was when I couldn’t and knew I just needed encouraging words from someone that had just as much passion for the business or the fact that, in my opinion, her passion transcends mine with how long she’s been wrestling. I strive to be that passionate and that is what drives me all the time.
