favorite memories from my first* term of college
taking a nap in the backseat of my car when it was raining, and i had a cold. it was so pleasant to just relax between classes and meetings, and there's nothing so relieving as resting when you're feeling sick.
discovering the translated fiction section at the college library! i've been lowkey obsessed with translated books for a while, and it was a lovely surprise to happen upon a full display with dozens of books. many of which were new to me!!
getting a text from a coworker when i was on my way to class that i got a huge call-out / kudos by director in front of the whole department. just, so cool to be doing full time school and full time work and excelling at both!!
getting a text from a peer student that we won our engineering project competition when i was out rowing on the water with my regular group. also got to see some seals right after, like just a great couple of hours of cool shit
attending office hours and chatting with my professors. in hindsight, the acknowledgement that they knew my name and a little bit about my class performance was such a mood boost.
listening to physics lectures in spanish while reviewing for my exams. so cool to understand it easily due to language proficiency AND physics competency.
last but not least, i was studying for my second calculus exam and trying to find more resources, outside of my textbook & class papers. most of the websites were significantly more advanced or significantly easier than my class' level, and it was intimidating to see incomprehensible problems just before my exam. but also kind of relieving! and very exciting!!! like there's so much more to learn for this thing, much less for all of the other topics i've only heard about!!!!!!
