Random facts/things I was going to do/reveal in the Reanimate villain sequel that I never got to because my brain refused to come up with a coherent idea for the story.
Since reworking my boys’ bios got me thinking of this fic, I decided to share these things to at least give you guys some clue what was going to happen after Reanimate ended, on the villain side. I really don’t know if I’ll ever be able to form a coherent plot, hence I’m listing the stuff I had thought of here.
Ryuu’s soft spot for animals becoming clearer
Ryuu bonds with Twice especially, but also ends up developing a friendly rivarly with Dabi after initial tensions as the fireboy understandably doesn’t trust them at first.
Ryuu admits, either to Dabi or maybe during a confrontation with the adult Midoriya, that back when he attacked Shoto in their home world, he purposefully avoided giving him a lethal strike (despite how bad it looked) because a hero kid is still a kid and he tends to feel kinda miffed having to fight a kid. Ryuu thinks its fucked up kids are made to battle adult villains.
This would likely give Midoriya a pause and later re-evaluate some things from his past, as well as think back on the Tenko he met and his philosophy
The heroes wouldn’t be included much tho. This would be purely villain show hell yeah
Kain reveals the reason Tomura agreed to his plans so easily was the fact he was using his quirk’s subtle manipulation ability to make him more suspectible to agreeing
This reveal gives Tomura a lot to think about, namely due to the fact Kain keeps reminding him of Sensei in some way -> this combined with his slowly strengthening bonds with his gang was somehow gonna lead him to question his Sensei
The league members would slowly start trusting the two after learning more of their past and having them save someone from near death (probably Twice, I feel that’d be most impactful.)
Kain would actually manage to sneak into Tartarus somehow to talk with AfO out of pure curiosity. This meeting would give Kain something to think about when it comes to himself, as AFO remarks how his quirk could easily give him the ability to become highly influental like he was.
Namely, Kain eventually comes to the conclusion he doesn’t want to become a complete monster like afo despite having the potential for it, not just because of his quirk but his mentality -> this results in him listening to Ryuu and others more in the future beyond the fic, instead of just being the constant leader and directing everything they do exactly, as well as makes him be a bit more honest with Tomura and others.
This Tomura in general was going to mature during this story, as I accidentally wrote him like a complete child in Reanimate, something I did not intend consciously. (He’s my least favorite Tomura portrayal probably...apart from one other one maybe)
They were gonna rescue Kurogiri from jail where he’d been for years. This was before I knew he’s Shirakumo, so I dunno if I’d add that detail into the story (or how) if I somehow managed to write it eventually.
The reason they did that was to find the doctor who’d gone into hiding
Dabi’s being flirty, horny bastard when he’s not aggressively protective over their boss
The whole thing with Spinner at first questioning everything, then growing to adore and accept Tomura as the leader
Developing rest of the members in general to be more on the level I nowadays write them. (I still feel bad that back then I basically forgot Sako existed and thus he’s not part of the gang as he’s dead in this verse, as in, when I realized I forgot him I basically gave that explanation to his absence. I know I’m sorry, this was during my early fic writing career and I’ve learned to appreciate our magic dad more now. I promise I won’t forget him ever again.)
The MLA would happen in some manner, and maybe Ryuu would face off against versions of his parents as in his world, they were members who abandoned him because they thought that was the only way to protect their child which only really resulted in him growing to despise them as he didn’t know the reason behind his abandonment
They’d try to coax Kain to their side, and he’d be like ”the future you want is too boring and predictable. Going by the jungle’s law means so many people with potential will be snuffed out before they have a chance to flourish. I have no interest in such world. I’m a scientist, we constantly thrive to see things change and improve, not stagnate on predictable rules of a stand-still society.”
Basically his long-winded, complex way of saying ’fuck you”
Tomura would still dust the city because it was badass
Eventually Ryuu and Kain are forced to leave the world, as Kain starts to have seizures, revealing to them that a version of him or his quirk had been born into that world, which meant he could no longer stay or he’d die
Basically the fic’s main themes were about Tomura maturing and eventually forging his own path out of AFO’s shadow (or at least begin that journey, he’s a little late with that when compared to even canonical Tomura, at least when it comes to the maturity part lmao) fleshing out Kain and Ryuu, and of course develop the league member’s bonds with one another to be more on the level they are supposed to be.
