So Jisub enters the room clad in a normal business attire with a clipboard tucked under his arm. He seats himself down while giving a warm smile to the contestant already seated on the chair across from his own. Yet, his gaze returns to being firm once his eyes start scanning the portfolio information that had been handed to him. He had purposely requested a private one on one interview to find out more about the soon to be trainees who were to represent his company. "Well, let's begin, shall we?"
1. Why did you choose Royal Entertainment?
"from the name itself, the company already sounds promising, complete with that ditzy shinning lights spelling out the world royal. it sounds elite, famous and a chart-topper. anyone would want to be here.. including me." he smacks his hips, trying to remain calm and composed. "but i didn't choose this company simply for it's good name in the entertaining industry. nor did i choose this because i want to be popular. it's actually stupi--ridiculous when people start stereotyping idols according to their company. a company shouldn't be the one defining the talent. i chose royal entertainment because i think this would give me the best opportunity to hone my talents. it's important to choose the best platform where one can provide enough opportunities for the person to show and develop their skills. i believe royal entertainment can give me that. royal entertainment, knowing how serious they are when striving to perfect the vocal talent of their trainees, is for me. it's my path, the next chapter of my life that i'm pretty sure can help me turn into a better individual."
2. What casts you aside from all the other contestants?
"for starters, they're not nam woohyun." a short chuckle follows after. "kidding aside, what casts me from them is that i'm versatile. you can put me anywhere and i can guarantee you a performance. singing isn't too hard and a little more practice in dancing wont hurt. let me host a music show and i'll make sure to keep the audience entertained. i'll do aegyo if i have to and sport all sorts of styles popular nowadays. it sounds crazy and audacious, but that's nam woohyun--i'm one of a kind. also, since this company is popular on the western market, i believe my english would bring me a little step forward. not all fans would understand korean so knowing english would help an idol thrice as much."
3. How do you think Royal Entertainment can help you improve?
he blinks, thinking that the question was sort of answered already on the first question. "royal entertainment is focused on harnessing the vocal talents of their trainees, at the same time, making them charismatic enough on stage. i'll be really honest with you, sir. it's been about a year and a half since i stopped my vocal lessons and i think i've been messing around with myself. i know i still have a lot to improve on, a lot to go on through before calling myself as someone skilled enough to man the stage. i think the opportunities royal ent offers to their trainees are enough to help them develop their skills and talents. royal ent, by looks of their "product" idols, seem to know what's best for their trainees. i wouldn't want to miss the chance being trained here.
4. Why do you want to become a trainee?
"becoming a trainee is the first step into achieving my dream: a world-wide sensational artist. of course, before reaching into that dream, i have to work myself out and see if i could handle every single trial on the way. i mean, it's always better to work hard for something you want rather than finding a way to cheat just to get what you want. i still have a lot more to learn, that's why i want to be a trainee."
5. Anything else that you would like to tell me?
"i would just like to say-- thank you. really. i never actually thought the judges would like my performance and all. i also never thought i'd see you face to face, sir. you are such a pleasure to meet and i hope you give me the chance to prove that investing on me as a trainee here wont be a regretful choice."
