âYour mother and I will pick you up in two hours.â Jumin lifted two fingers, wiggling them in front of his young son. âWhile weâre gone, we expect you to be on your best behavior.â
You wiped the rolling tears from your sonâs eyes, easing him into a hug. The little boy folded himself into your embrace; no matter how much he looked like Jumin, he behaved like you in every sense.
âI know, sweetheartâŚâ you cooed. âBut we promise weâll see you again in not one butâŚ?â
âTwo,â the child sniffed, wiping his nose against your shirt.
âThatâs right! Two hours! See, youâre better at math than mommy!â
Your son let out a constricted giggle; Jumin rubbed the boyâs small back. âYour mommy and I are very proud of you. Do you remember how we talked about bravery?â
The boy nodded, his lower lip wiggling.
âEven when it is hard, we must steel ourselves for what is to come. It is okay to be scared, and mommy and I will come running when you need us.â
âI need you,â the boy uttered desperately, his little fingers clinging to Juminâs tie.
Covering your mouth, you hid your amusement as best you could and watched Jumin handle the situation.
âNow, now. Mommy and I havenât gone anywhere, weâre here for you right now.â Smiling, Jumin ran his fingers through his sonâs hair. âYou can do this, my son. You have the blood of never-ending courage running through your veins. We love you, do you hear me?â
Nodding vigorously, your son threw his arms around Juminâs neck. His startled expression made you smile â you lifted your brows, encouraging him to hold onto his little legacy tightly.
Jumin happily obliged. He leaned over, lifting his little boy into his arms and pressing kisses onto his round cheeks. It was a rare moment indeed⌠you mentally cursed yourself over not having a video camera at the ready.
Setting his son down, it was your turn. As expected, Juminâs mini-me waddled your way, and you embraced him as firmly as you could without managing to break any of his bones. Jumin moved behind you, his fingers softly dancing over your shoulders, signaling you to let go. You reluctantly released the boy and watched as his new teacher stepped up, encouraging him to follow her.
âGo on,â Jumin whispered, jutting his chin encouragingly. âBe brave.â
Both you and your husband watched as your son - your baby - grabbed the teacherâs hand and took off with her, looking back at you whenever he could. As soon as he disappeared around a corner, you released the breath you held in.
âCan you believe it, JuminâŚ? Our baby is already in preschool ââ
Juminâs sniff stopped you. Looking over, you watched as Jumin pulled his handkerchief from his breast pocket, dabbing at his eyes.
âJumin? Cutie, itâs going to be all rightâŚ!â
âHeâs growing so quickly and I⌠ehm. Ehm.â
âOh, come here.â Wrapping your arms around your Jumin and rubbing comforting circles into his back, you couldnât help but see the vivid similarities between him and the little boy you mothered for what felt like mere seconds. âJuminâŚ? Would you like to get some ice cream?â
âIce cream,â Jumin chuckled through his tears. âYou realize Iâm not your son, right?â
You squeezed his soft hands, eyes shining curiously.
Jumin sighed, squeezing your hands devotedly. â⌠But yes, ice cream sounds lovely.â
Quick something I wrote. Because I suck at full-on fics and instead of working on the one Iâm TRYING to write, I decided to do this instead. I know Iâve written something similar before but I donât care. Heads up for kissing. Lots of kissing. Just imagine that they never stop fucking kissing. XD
âAlistair,â Cullen gasped. Alistair murmured something indistinguishable as he dove in for another desperate kiss. He was pressing Cullen further into the wall theyâd ended up against, not that Cullen was complaining.Â
He was too busy trying to grab every part of Alistair he could. His head, his hair. His shoulders, his arms, his waist, his ass⌠Andraste, he needed to grow more hands because he never seemed satisfied where he placed his. No one spot seemed good enough, he needed to keep grasping for more.

LETâS GO, LETâS GO!
The honeymoon period in any relationship lasts three months. Six if you were lucky.
After that time has passed, youâll begin to see, smell, and experience things about your partner that begin to make you wonder why.
Why you chose them, why you didnât see these things before, why it took you so long to understand what you would have to deal with for the rest.
Of your life.
It wasnât that you didnât love Jumin. No, you loved him a great deal. You were just tired. Tired of his sideways glances when youâd laugh too loud at a company dinner â tired of how he gradually took control of your wardrobe, making you wear longer dresses with pinned hats â tired of how dismissive he seemed every time you went to show him something youâd made, or shoot him a silly video.
âMm. Is that all?â
You could hear his voice in your mind. You could hear the disinterest because he didnât try to hide it anymore. It was like he was bored of you.
And you were bored of him.
Dinners would consist of Juminâs utensils scraping against ceramic plates â a sound you detested â and you noisily sucking your wine glass while you drank â an act that clearly annoyed him. You knew it, too; as soon as you heard the heel of his foot slamming repetitively against the tile, you knew you had gotten to him.
He wouldnât say anything to you, though. Nor would you say anything to him. Why bother? Active communication turned into rigid expectations, something both of you failed at horribly.
Things has gotten so tense that, eventually, you had a difficult time being around Jumin all together. His quiet, judging eyes following you around the room, jaw clenching when he saw something you were doing that he didnât likeâŚ
And you, trying your damndest to ignore him and go about your day, purposely finding ways to piss him off.
You decided to pick up extra shifts at work. That was a good start; if he asked where you were or what you were doing, you would simply say that you were at work. Just as he would say to you with no other detail.
And you were satisfied for some time, coming home to the lights off and a quietly snoring Jumin in the guest bedroom. Youâd even make a game of it; whoever arrived home the latest, lost.
At what, you didnât know. You didnât care.
But maybe it would give you the courage to leave.
All the nights he didnât stay up waiting for you would only confirm his lacking interest. An unfair judgement, but one you would make anyway.
Slipping your winter coat on, you trudged your way to work. A solid eight hours awaited you, followed by another hour or four at your contracting job. The work was exhausting, sure⌠but it wasnât as exhausting as being around Jumin.
You went about your day without a care, happily assisting customers and even walking with a pep in your step. Your eyes occasionally fell to your watch, that you could keep track of both your schedule and Juminâs.
17:30. He was done for the day. But maybe he was still at the office. Maybe he was catching a late meeting. Maybe he was following in his fatherâs footsteps and screwing another woman.
It didnât matter. You didnât care.
Shuffling your way to your next job, you ignored the dull pain in your chest from the slight overexertion.
Maybe staying at a hotel tonight wouldnât be such a bad idea.
The thought amused you. It wasnât a bad idea, the more you thought about it. Actually⌠you had your own savings account with money you had personally earned stashed inside. Maybe you could look into moving out.
While the idea danced in your mind, your gut felt otherwise. Churning uncomfortably, to the point of endless nausea, you left work much earlier than expected of you.
Walking along the snow-kisses sidewalk, your thoughts wandered. Except now, these thoughts were hopeful. Hopeful, yet⌠strangely unsettling.
Arriving at the landing of the building you and Jumin shared, - the word home having no meaning anymore - you moved into the elevator and pushed the button taking you up to the most luxurious hell you had ever known.
Your mind began to wander as you mindlessly made your way home. Truthfully, you already had a small bag packed and hidden away in your personal closet. The last thing you needed was for Jumin to ask questions. Getting the bigger things would be a challenge, but â
âWhere have you been.â
Stopping in your tracks, you turned to see your husband. He looked as exhausted as you felt; from where you stood, it looked like he had at least ten new creased lines on his face. He sat as elegantly as ever, one leg crossed over the other, but you noticed his foot shaking. Why was he so jittery.
âWork,â you answered, throwing your coat over the kitchen island. âGood night.â
âIs that all you have to say?â
âYup.â
As soon as Jumin rose to his feet, your heart fell. Was he about to ask you for a divorce now? Was it time for you to put your plan of moving out into motion? Why did it make you feel so vulnerable?
Fingers running over your wedding ring, teasing it back and forth over your finger, you held your breath as Jumin approached you.
He didnât stand too close, but you could still smell his faint cologne â sandalwood and lavender.
âWhat do you want?â You asked, hugging yourself defensively.
âI havenât seen you in days. And you expect me to believe that youâve only been at work?â
âYeah?â You scoffed. âLook, what ever youâre trying to say, can you spit it out now? Iâm tired.â
âIf thatâs the case, ââ
âIt is, Jumin.â
âExplain to me, then, why youâre at work more than youâre at home.â
âBecause I have two jobs, and both of them require my attention.â
âAnd I donât?â Juminâs voice rose. Just slightly.
âYou havenât asked. Iâm not a mind reader.â You shifted your weight from one foot to the other. âBesides. Why do you expect from me what you refuse to offer?â
âHow can I offer you anything when you arenât here.â
Your brows shot up. Oh, he sounded impatient now. âWell? Iâm here now, so if you have nothing to offer within the next three minutes, Iâm going to sleep.â
âWhat has happened to you.â
You tilted your head. âExcuse me?â
âIâm not repeating myself. You heard me.â
Your laugh agitated him. âYou have a lot of nerve. Have you ever considered that you might be the problem?â
Jumin leaned forward. âThe problem?â
âIâm not repeating myself, you heard me.â
âMature,â Jumin scoffed.
âWell, what do you want me to tell you, Jumin? Do you want me to agree that Iâm the problem, is that what you want? Okay! Fine. Iâm the problem. Iâve always been the problem. Iâm the sole reason why our marriage is dangling by a thread. Itâs all because of me. There. Are we done?â
Turning from Jumin, you felt yourself getting dizzy, the rush of confrontation getting to your head. The dizziness worsened when your husband grabbed your arm, pulling you back towards him.
âDonât walk away from me. We arenât done.â
Yanking your arm away from his grip, it took every ounce of strength in you to keep your hands to yourself. âWhat, was that not enough for you?â
âListen to me,â Jumin seethed, his fingers throbbing, remembering the brief sensation of your skin against his. âItâs no secret. Our relationship has taken a massive shift in the wrong direction. Iâve noticed it, too.â
You shook your head. âRight, and accusing me of cheating is the first step in the right direction.â
âNeither are your smart ass comments.â
âAm I wrong? Did you not just accuse me of doing just that? For all I know, youâre giving it to some intern in a vacant boardroom. Like father, like son.â
The silence that lingered after your careless comment was so palpable that it made you uncomfortable. Yikes⌠you may have crossed a line, here.
âYouâve turned into the most cynical, heartless woman Iâve ever known.â Juminâs voice was steady - he meant every word. âYou were right. You arenât cut out for this life, a life with me. I wish I had listened to the source.â
You looked away, fighting the tears in your eyes. His words hurt you deeply. âIâll leave. No problem. But before I do?â You stepped closer, knees shaking. âThese last few months have been a nightmare. Iâm happier with the scrutinizing eyes of my parents than the dead-eyed look you give me.â
Juminâs brows furrowed. âPardon?â
âYou look at me like I disgust you. Like Iâve run my course with you, like you have no other way to utilize me. Ever since I got my first job, you stopped caring about whether I was coming or going. Well, you donât have to worry about it anymore, Jumin! Iâm going.â
âWhat will you take, this sorry piece of luggage?â Tossing your bag - the bag you had skillfully hidden away - to the floor, Jumin nudged it disdainfully. âI thought youâd be more resourceful than this.â
You pursed your lips angrily, staring at the sorry knapsack by Juminâs feet.
âIf I was being such a horrible husband, ignoring you and shunning you, why didnât you say anything. Why did you allow it to fester, woman.â
âBecause I couldnât talk to you, asshole. You were always too busy with work. What was I supposed to do, ring you up and rant to you over the phone?â
âYes.â
Juminâs booming response surprised you. It even seemed to surprise him.
âRight, so I should have done everything I could have done to fix our relationship. Why was it all on me?!â
âDid I say that? Besides. My efforts to reconnect with you were clearly ignored. The nights I stayed awake waiting for you to come home so I could talk to you. The meetings I canceled, the connections I ignored ââ
âI never asked you to give any of your time up!!â
âDidnât you just do that?â
âScrew this.â Throwing your hands in the air, you grabbed the bag on the floor. âIâll have all my shit out by the end of the week.â
âCynical, heartless, and a coward. Fitting.â
Rage blinded you. You spun around, your open hand almost connecting to Juminâs cheek. He grabbed your wrist before you could make contact, pinning you against the wall behind you. An unmistakable fire raged within his eyes, one you saw up close and personally.
Your ragged breathing gradually matched with his. It was the first time you had been this close to him inâŚ
Jumin noticed the dawning realization in your eyes; the fire within him dimmed, leaving traces of compassion and adoration.
Looking away from him, you tried to pull your hand back. Jumin wouldnât allow it, gripping your wrist a little tighter.
âWhat are you ââ
âYour wedding ring is still on your finger.â
You paused. âYeah⌠yeah, it is. And so is yours.â
A beat passed. Juminâs lips brushed over your forehead; a simple form of intimacy. But one you craved immensely. Lifting your head, butterflies crashed against your stomach. He was looking directly at you.
âYouâre right.â Juminâs grip on your wrist loosened. âI havenât been as attentive to you, or your needs. Iâve⌠been taking advantage of you. You were always there, until you werenât. And when you werenât, I grew very insecure. So insecure that I accused you of the greatest sin between married couples.
You closed your eyes slowly. Tears spilled out of your control; the dam you held inside was cracking open. âI got careless, too. I was so afraid of approaching you, and I was so frustrated that you couldnât read my mind, so ignored you and your good heart, Jumin. I had forgotten just how gracious and good you are.â
Jumin tilted your chin up, his fingers catching the tears coursing down your cheek and off your chin. His pull irresistible, you leaned into him as he timidly pressed his lips to your cheeks.
âPlease,â you whispered. âPlease donât kiss me unless you love me, Jumin⌠donât play any games with meâŚâ
And after a pause that lasted a lifetime⌠Jumin pulled back.

Well. Now I know that that works. Idk when Iâm ever going to use it.
I did notice that despite all that time inside, it is still difficult to switch focus.
But that said, I do.....I have.... Fourâs (?) memories and experiences? Interesting. Four would probably say it has something to do with position and location short memory storage. Interesting...
Weâre really in a mind-searching mood tonight.
