Hey question for those who know cats better than me
So I interacted with this very friendly store cat (pictured below)
Always extremely friendly and affectionate to everyone who approaches nicely. Love this cat so so much
Day I took that picture (and other days before), after doing her usual rubbing and such, the second she got the chance she hopped in my lap and pretty much refused to leave. I even asked her owner for help getting her off because I wasn’t sure how to properly handle picking up a cat, and she would not allow it.
While she was laying on me, she was purring really hard, like it felt as if she was a tiny engine.
I’ve read before that while purring is a sign of contentment in cats, really hard purring can be a sign of stress
Does she not like me and shows it in a very weird way? Of what? I feel like she wouldn’t glue herself to me if she didn’t like me but I don’t know. Otherwise she was acting very normal. She has done this exact thing before and her owner doesn’t know why she does it to me specifically. Help. I want cat to like me :(
I'm a big fan of people struggling with parenting in fiction, but aside from his plot to suborn his daughter's affection/loyalty away from marc I don't think the parenting seen in the fic is actually terrible, and even that plan is more of a future problem.
I see where you’re coming from, I think the terrible parenting if anything is more the fact that they both adopted a baby when neither of them wanted one (subtext being that they got the baby to make Marc more electable)
