Conversations about public health and population health in regards to obesity are not about you.
Stop inserting yourself as an individual into conversations about population health.
This isn’t about you being fat and healthy. It’s about comorbidities. It’s about quality of life. It’s about social determinants. It’s about preventative care.
If you are healthy or you’re fine with your weight, whatever. I don’t care. But acting as if discussions about health at a macro level are “fatphobic” because they don’t apply to you in your specific situation is damaging.
The evidence is there. It’s been here for a while.
