AI-assisted does include generative models often replying to prompts, but also AI assistants altering human-generated content, such as image upscaling and auto-paint effects offered by digital painting applications, or writing assistants offering paraphrases rather than fully generated text from a simple prompt.

In short: you can use a spellchecker for typos. You can use digital filters for your drawing. You cannot use an AI assistant to bump up your wordcount, or an AI auto-paint effect for your lineart, even if the work isn't fully AI-generated.

We do not handmatch; we use AO3 and its matching algorithm. The best way to ensure you will not create something you're uncomfortable with is to have at least one offer of your three required offers matching another participant's request. You can look at all the requests and easily search for specific ships on the autoao3app.

This will also ensure you're not unmatchable, i.e. someone whose offers cannot be matched to anyone else's request. The mod team will contact unmatchable once signups are closed. Unmatchables will have 24 hours to make certain they're matchable or will have their signup deleted!

The mod team honors Do Not Match requests. Send us an email before signups close if you want to ask us not to match you with a particular other participant. Please let us know:

whether it's for creating, receiving, or both;

what you would like us to do if that participant offers to pick up your pinch hit;
