Fred and Hermione, aka the light of my life

Hermione always had a crush on Fred, but she pretended not to because she thought he’d always see her as his brothers friend (which, to be fair, he did for a long time)

Fred liked teasing her about anything he could, liked doing dumb things in the gryffindor common room to get her attention

Only, he didn’t realize that he was doing it for her until he was in his sixth year.

He thought about all the times he’d defended her when someone else said something behind her back – he thought he’d felt protective of her because she was basically family at this point

But it isn’t until he sees her with krum that he realizes what it is

He likes her. He’s jealous of krum.

He doesn’t know what to do with this information, so he does the one thing he can think of – he tells George, who laughs because everyone already knows

Hermione and Fred are the only ones who are oblivious

The next tome they go to hogsmeade, Fred makes sure he can get some time alone with Hermione – George and Lee keep Harry busy, and rons distracted by Justin, so it works out perfectly

Fred tells her, and at first she thinks it’s a joke

I did fremione once but I’ll add more (again, just some random thoughts)

they get married young, but wait before having kids. After Fred almost died in the battle of hogwarts, they don’t want to waste any time.

Fred is the most supportive husband, especially in regards to hermione’s career

They never lose the sense of playfulness with each other – obviously there are times when they fight and stuff, but the playfulness never completely goes away

they have their first child – a daughter – when Fred is 30 and molly is overjoyed (she wanted them to have kids earlier, but she’s not complaining)

they don’t name their kids after anyone they know or knew

Fred is the one that does most of the cooking. Not because hermione can’t, but because it’s something he thoroughly enjoys

charlie is queer – he doesn’t label himself any further than that, he just says queer.

in his early-to-mid-30’s he gets injured while he’s working with one of the dragons. badly. think, unable to be fixed by any of the healers he’s gone to.

so as much as it kills him, he has to “retire” (but he promises he’ll be back to working with dragons some day, this injury won’t stop him)

but he doesn’t see the point in staying in romania so he moves back to the uk. he’s only in his parents’ house for a few days before he can’t stand it anymore

molly, though he loves her more than anyone else, is driving him crazy with her constant lurking and babying. he tells ron about it and ron offers his spare room

charlie gratefully accepts. he and ron have always been super close. ron, who is more like their mother than anyone thinks, actually enjoys taking care of charlie, but he doesn’t hover like their mother did

the longer charlie is back, the more lonely he starts to feel. all of his siblings have partners or spouses, and they even have kids. he starts to feel behind, like he wasted his time focusing on his work instead of his personal life.

shortly after charlie moves in, ron has a bunch of his friends from hogwarts over (his boyfriend, justin, harry, hermione, luna, neville)

neville and charlie immediately hit it off (it helps that they’re the only two single ones, but, you know)

neville makes charlie a potion to help with his pain out of the plants in the hogwarts greenhouses (it turns out neville is actually good at brewing potions when snape isn’t around)

soon neville starts coming over when ron isn’t home – sometimes he brings charlie potions, sometimes he comes with packages of the best food from hogwarts (ron is definitely jealous of that)

charlie hasn’t had a crush on someone in years (not since hogwarts, really) and it kind of scares him, especially since neville is rons age

they’re “friends” for months, and when charlie is feeling good enough to go out into the real world, neville is the one that takes him out.

they go to a pub that charlie doesn’t remember the name of, but it’s definitely not a muggle pub because everyone seems to know neville. they sit down in a corner booth and neville goes to get them drinks. while he’s gone, charlie decides that he’s going to tell neville tonight

he isn’t even sure if neville likes guys and it might ruin their friendship, but charlie has to tell him.

throughout the night, charlie keeps trying to think of a way to bring it up, but he doesn’t know how. he’s waiting for an easy opening, a seamless transition into the subject but he can’t find one

there’s a lull in their conversation and charlie thinks that this is his moment but before he can start forming the sentence in his mind, neville speaks up

and tells charlie that he likes him

as more than just a friend

charlie is shocked and he laughs a little. neville looks a bit hurt but charlie quickly explains that he was going to tell neville the same thing

third year is when justin realizes that ron is going to be a problem for him – he has a hard time paying attention in herbology but it’s partially his fault because he was the one who chose their workstation

justin is very talkative and outgoing, but once he realizes that he has a crush on ron, he has a hard time talking to him like a normal person. ron is oblivious

ron thinks justin is cute but he hasn’t admitted to himself that he likes boys so he’s a little confused when he starts dreaming about kissing him – that’s a dream he doesn’t want interpreted

at the end of third year ron overhears some of the hufflepuffs lovingly teasing justin about his crush and it’s like everything clicks into place for ron

before they all go home, ron is determined to find justin and talk to him about it, but... it’s ron and the convo is pretty awkward

but it goes well and they decide to write letters to each other all summer (cue all the cute awkward letters lol)

anyway, at the beginning of fourth year they start secretly dating (hannah and ernie both know because justin is bad at secrets but ron hasn’t told anyone)

“dating” as in... meeting up between classes, sometimes they sneak out after curfew, most of the time they pretend they have to study or something and go somewhere they can be alone so no one finds out

justin wants to go to the yule ball together and tell everyone but ron isn’t sure. they don’t break up but they end up going with other people and justin might try to make ron jealous (spoiler alert: it works)

in the middle of a song, ron goes up to justin and kisses him in front of everyone – all of ron’s friends are relieved because now they can stop pretending they don’t know

they become that couple... you know, the ones who always sit just a little too close, but everyone’s happy for them so they don’t mind too much

the first time it happens, it’s an accident.

bill and fleur had another fight, and narcissa and lucius haven’t been the same since the war – somehow they find themselves at the same bar, trying to forget their problems at home

bill insists that it’s a one time thing, it won’t happen again. but the next time he and fleur fight (it seems to be happening more and more) he sends an owl to narcissa. he doesn’t know what makes him do it

lucius isn’t home, so narcissa goes to meet him. this time, instead of a dark alley, they go back to malfoy manor.

bill feels guilty, but not enough to tell fleur. every time they fight, he goes to narcissa for an escape.

before long, bill is finding excuses not to come home – he has to work late, work is sending him somewhere for training – and eventually he stops feeling guilty

narcissa has never felt guilty about their affair

her marriage with lucius had died long ago, and bill makes her feel alive like lucius never has

she’s falling for bill, really falling, but she pretends that it’s just about the physical

they sneak around for about a year before the truth comes out – bill tells fleur about everything and narcissa thinks it’s the end of their affair, that bill chose his wife over her

but then bill sends her an owl and they meet at the bar where everything started.

“I left my wife for you, narcissa”

I love them so much so thanks for sending them!!

kingsley and narcissa were the equivalent of high school sweethearts, madly in love

the only problem was narcissa’s parents – they liked kingsley just fine, mostly because he was a slytherin, but it wasn’t an advantageous match like they’d wanted for narcissa.

they’d already chosen lucius for her, and they were not about to let narcissa “ruin it”

they put a lot of pressure on her to break up with kingsley so she told them she did, but she kept seeing him in secret

obviously, this put a lot of strain on their relationship, but they stayed together until narcissa got officially engaged

kingsley thought that narcissa might choose him, that she would break free from her family’s expectation of her, but she didn’t.

they didn’t speak after that

until years later, after the second war, after narcissa’s trial is complete and kingsley is minister of magic, they meet again

Arthur/Narcissa 😊 this one is non-linear, basically just thoughts in random order

Narcissa loves spoiling Arthur, and it’s pretty easy to make him happy

He loves when she buys anything that muggles use and he loves taking things apart, figuring out how they work, and then trying to improve them with magic

They found each other in the midst of tragedies, having both lost their spouse during the first war. Narcissa’s heart went out to him, having to raise 6 boys and a newborn girl on a ministry worker’s salary.

They didn’t date for very long before they moved in together. They’re not teenagers, they know what they want.

At first it’s pretty overwhelming - there are so many strong personalities that the house that used to be quiet is now full of people and laughter and life

It’s a good kind of weird, in Narcissa’s opinion.

Narcissa loves watching Arthur work, and between the two of them, she’s the protective one

When people make fun of Arthur for loving muggles and muggle artefacts, all it takes is one look from narcissa to shut them up

Arthur, meanwhile, shows narcissa a tenderness she hasn’t experienced very much in her lifetime

Her marriage to lucius was fine, but they’d gotten married for their families, not because they love each other

With Arthur, it’s clear he loves her in everything he does. He shows her love and affection every day, in the little things.

Oooh I like this pairing but I haven’t ever written them so.. hope you like it!

nothing actually happens between them until after hogwarts, after the war

they obviously both had crushes on each other throughout most of their school years but they didn’t know how to say anything without making it awkward – they shared a dorm room, after all

all of slytherin house knew, it was that obvious

after the war, they’re at a bar and draco is saying something about his life at home – the tension between his parents, how much he hates being in that house after all of the things that happened there – and blaise is just like... move in with me

so they move in together and it’s nice, but now draco finds that he can’t run away from his feelings for blaise

especially when blaise brings other guys home

draco has a hard time hiding his jealousy and it leads to an argument that draco pretends is not about his feelings for blaise – it’s about respect

this argument doesn’t exactly go the way draco though it would, especially since he accidentally says something about his feeling s for blaise

neither one speaks for a moment but then blaise takes a step towards him and draco thinks he’s going to get kicked out
